Science
I am in the
minority that enjoys science.
Proof that
the vast majority doesn't enjoy science is the
U.N. IPCC
Report (United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on
Climate
Change).
I read the
report. Most have not.
In report
2, page 114 it says,
“It is somewhat unsettling that the
results of a complex climate model can be so drastically altered by
substituting one reasonable cloud parametrization for another, thereby
approximately replicating the overall inter-model rage of
sensitivities.”
Translated
that means that the U.N. Report could not model clouds. When 95%
of Greenhouse Gas is water vapor and you can not model clouds, what good
is modeling the other 5%?
In report 2
it also says that Methane, one of the 4 Kyoto Treaty Greenhouse Gasses,
is diminishing. I remember when Methane was the big problem
because it reflects 28 times more radiation than CO2. But now no
one talks about Methane. Do they think we all forgot?
— The global mean concentration of CH4
(Methane Gas) in 2005 was 1,774 ppb, contributing an RF of +0.48 [±0.05]
W m–2. Over the past two decades, CH4 growth rates in the atmosphere
have generally decreased. The cause of this is not well understood.
However, this decrease and the negligible long-term change in its main
sink (the hydroxyl radical OH) imply that total CH4 emissions are not
increasing.
(Radiative
forcing (RF)1 is a concept used for quantitative comparisons of the
strength of different human and natural agents in causing climate
change.)
Nowhere in
the report did anyone realize that Greenhouse Gas is not evenly
distributed around our planet. Those new insights make a
difference. (Video)
And what
about the Alaskan having the coldest summer in decades?

Another
scientific observation. There has not been any warming in Phoenix
or Miami since 2000. I looked it up on the Atlas-MTS web site.
Atlas Testing is a Global leader in weathering testing and weathering
test equipment. Their web site has daily tracking of temperature
and radiant energy for Phoenix and Miami. Their recordings show a
standard deviation of one degree centigrade over the last 8 years.
No warming. Look for yourself.

And one
last scientific observation. Our society is worried about the
pollution emitted by the big evil coal power plants. The coal
power plants in the U.S. emit 50 tons of Mercury a year into the
atmosphere. The third-world gold processing emits 650 to 1,000
tons of Mercury a year and 80% of the gold is used for jewelry.
Why isn't gold jewelry on the environmentalist's hit list?
What I've
concluded is that for the majority, emotions supersede science.
And what is
of environmental importance is determined by powers greater than my own.
