Take a deep
breath.
The Earth
is well within Her standard deviation.
During the Medieval Warm Period, 900 years ago, Greenland was green;
vineyards grew north of London and all of Europe Flourished. During the
Mini Ice Age, 1300-1600 A.D., things were nasty. Glaciers wiped out
entire villages. Starvation was rampant. The Plague is all I learned
about in school.
Most of us remember the picture of George Washington crossing a frozen
Potomac River less than 300 years ago.
There is no scientific trending in temperature of radiant energy in
Phoenix or Miami over the last 8 years.
I looked.

Atlas-MTS is “A Global leader in Weathering Testing &
Equipment”.
Their web site has daily temperature and radiant energy readings since
2000 for Phoenix and Miami.
I was looking for increased radiation and temperature because of the One
Quadrillion BTU Project. I found neither, only a temperature deviation
of 1 degree Celsius.
The "Katrina Storms"
which were attributed to Global Warming and were predicted to become
more frequent and severe. Yet 2006 and 2007 were almost
storm free.
The current
CO2/Global Warming Theory is only applicable for the last 30 years.
The 30 years prior, C02/Global Cooling was the scare.
I remember 1972.
I was a Senior at U.C. Irvine. I came home and said, “Global Cooling,
Global Cooling.
And, China and India are going to starve to death by the year 2000.
My mom did not call me “Chicken Little”.
It just felt like it.
She did say something like, “Don’t complain. Do
something.”
So I did.
I built a home-made car to meet 1986 air pollution requirements.
I know the
Earth gained ½ degree between 1900 and 1940 during the industrial
buildup. Then lost ¼ degree between 1940 and 1975 during World War II
and the post war industrial boom. And, then gained ½ degree since 1975
where 1975 was in the middle of a World Wide Recession complete with
“misery index”.
The 1972
Greenhouse Gas/Global Cooling Theory made sense. The Greenhouse
Gas/Global Warming Theory makes sense. The theories just don’t make
sense together.
There was Global Warming.
The
Earth is well within Her standard deviation.
The current theory is only
applicable over the past 30 years.
The
last 8 years have no trending temperature in Phoenix or Miami.
That’s the
great thing about science.
Different
Theories can be entertained at the same time.
Science is
always growing and changing.
Science is
logical, not emotional
Is there
Global Warming? Yes.
Do I
understand why? No. But I am fascinated by the science behind the
theories.
