EvAACŪ - Evaporation Aided Air Conditioning
EvAACŪ Simplified:
Add the cooling
efficiency of an evaporative cooler to your existing air conditioner.
Cool the inbound
air, reduce the load on the condenser, save electricity and increase
efficiency.
EvAACŪ system
provides 2 tons of additional cooling.
The science is simple. Air conditioners have a SEER Rating
(Seasonal Energy Efficiency Rating). The rating is based on tests
where the outside temperature is 95 degrees and the interior temperature
is 75 degrees.
When the outside temperatures increase above 95 degrees, the
efficiencies drop. When the outside temperatures decrease below 95
degrees, the efficiencies increase.
Now consider the fact that water-evaporation cooling increases in
efficiency with increasing temperature. The science is simple.
Evaporating one gallon of water creates 9,600 BTUs of cooling (there are
12,000 BTUs of cooling per "ton" of air conditioning).
That's why using water evaporation to cool the air entering an air
conditioner or condenser/compressor increases the efficiency of the
cooling.
The initial test results indicated a decrease in power consumption by
25% and a doubling in efficiency. All 4 test houses saw a 25%
reduction in their air conditioning costs on their September, 2008 power
bills.
EvAACŪ Version #3 Initial Test
Results: Reduced power consumption by 25% and doubled
efficiency.
