Pad Cleaning
Periodic visual inspection is always a good idea. As the old saying goes,
“Stuff Happens”.
Change pads as needed. Every year or two is normal.
Allowing the EvAAC® dispersion/filter pads to become clogged with dirt or mineral
deposits may
increase the load on the air conditioner/condenser.
Like everything
else outside, the EvAAC® unit gets dirty. Annual cleaning with a strong stream
of
water and cleaning after any dust storms keeps the EvAAC® unit performing to
it’s maximum.
EvAAC® uses the best
material and has the most complete testing, but some calcium buildup on
the
compressor fins is still possible. At the end of the season or the start of the
next season,
cleaning of the compressor fins with a cleaner recommended by your
air conditioner’s manufacture
is a good idea.
