The
Basic Rule: don’t be stupid. If you do not know how to turn off the
power to your air conditioner, get help before you proceed. Air
conditioners use HUGE amounts of electricity. They are normally 220 volt
and connected to a 30 or 40 amp circuit breaker. That means that if you do
not know how to turn off the power, do not take the risk of trying to connect
the low-voltage wiring.
The only electrical
connection required is connecting two wires to the 24 volt control circuit.
This is incredibly easy. Just don't attempt it before watching the
installation video. And make sure the power is off.
