Green Jobs cost Money

Warming

The concept of 'green jobs' helping the U.S. out of the recession is interesting.

Currently, none of the alternative energies are economically viable without government or power company rebates.  Those rebates are paid for by the tax payers and rate payers.

It is interesting that the power companies are being forced to offer rebates that are paid for by rate payers.  If ratepayer's rates go up because of State or Federal legislation, isn't that really a new kind of tax?  Isn't that taxation without representation?

The politically-correct justification is that the alternative energy is saving the planet.  But our planet is cooling without the help of alternative energy, so what exactly is it saving?

It is also politically-correct to say that the alternative energy is reducing our dependency on foreign oil.  That argument is made absurd once the math and physics of imported oil and alternative energy are understood.

So if our planet doesn't need saving, and alternative energy's ability to replace imported oil is a long, long way off, and 'green jobs' are costing all of us money, then why are green jobs that cost all of us money so important?
