The best thing we can do
for our environment is to save money.
The most significant
savings in Arizona will come from air conditioning.
Arizona residents spend $4 Billion every summer buying
30 billion kWh of electricity to cool their homes.
That is the energy
equivalent 1.8 million barrels of oil or 1,000 to 2,000
tons of CO2 (depending on the conversion value used).
But the only thing that
matters is the ROI (return-on-investment) for the
homeowner. How much do they have to invest and how
